Secret Behind Nag’s 100th Film? Why So Much Mystery?

Nagarjuna 100th film secret shoot

Nagarjuna is currently at an important phase in his career as he approaches his 100th film. Interestingly, instead of working with a Telugu director, Nagarjuna has chosen a Tamil filmmaker and that too for a remake, which has surprised many people in the industry.

In recent times, Nagarjuna has increasingly collaborated with Tamil actors and technicians. Last year, he appeared alongside Dhanush in the film Kubera, which was just about decent at the box office.

Later, he played a villain role in Rajinikanth’s film Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie created huge pre-release hype, especially regarding Nagarjuna’s character. However, when the film was released, many fans felt heartbroken because the role did not match the expectations built during promotions.

Now the focus has shifted to Nagarjuna’s 100th movie, which is being directed by Tamil filmmaker Ra Karthik. Interestingly, the film has already started shooting, yet the makers have not officially announced the project. This unusual secrecy has become a major talking point in Telugu film circles.

According to Karthik, the shooting is currently progressing non-stop, and Nagarjuna will appear in an extremely stylish avatar. He said that the actor will look as stylish as he did in earlier films like Shiva and Rakshakudu. He also revealed that Nagarjuna will appear in multiple get-ups in the film, which adds more excitement.

When asked why Nagarjuna selected him instead of a Telugu director for such a milestone film, Karthik said that Nagarjuna simply told him, “You and I are on the same wavelength.” The actor also reportedly recalled how he worked with legendary director Mani Ratnam early in his career for the classic Geethanjali. That collaboration proved that a director from another industry could deliver a memorable film.

Another reason for the secrecy could be Nagarjuna’s recent flop box office streak. Some of his recent films failed to meet expectations, so the team appears to be avoiding unnecessary hype and focusing completely on the content. By quietly completing the shoot first, they may want the film to speak for itself when officially announced.

Industry sources say that more than half of the shooting is already completed, and the movie could release later this year. There are also rumors about surprising guest appearances that could make the milestone film more special.

For now, fans of the Akkineni family are eagerly waiting for the official announcement, hoping that Nagarjuna’s 100th film will finally deliver the strong blockbuster comeback they have been expecting.
