Nandamuri Balakrishna and Koratala Siva’s much-discussed collaboration, tentatively referred to as NBK112, launched with considerable buzz and was planned as a large-scale action entertainer. However, the project has now become the subject of fresh industry speculation.
As per industry buzz, the Balakrishna-Koratala project now facing a major hurdle, with the budget reportedly emerging as the key issue. The film was planned on a massive budget of around ₹150 crore, making it one of the more expensive projects in Balakrishna’s recent lineup.
However, Balakrishna, reportedly becoming increasingly cautious about taking risks with high-budget films is keen on maintaining a safer balance between the scale of a project and its commercial recovery.
Since the Koratala Siva film demands a huge budget, Balakrishna is thinking twice about taking such a financial risk. This has led to discussions about either reducing the film’s scale or reconsidering the project altogether.
At this point, there is no official confirmation that the film has been shelved. Cancellation reports are currently circulating as industry speculation, with the budget reportedly cited as the primary reason.
