Neeraja Kona interview with M9 News

M9 News journalist Nishant sat down with stylist-turned-director Neeraja Kona, who is making her debut with Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Telusu Kadha, releasing on October 16th.

Neeraja said, “Telusu Kadha is a small concept. It’s a love story involving three characters a boy and two girls. Each of them has grey shades. There’s a small issue, and it unfolds through beautiful moments. I’m sure you’ll find it fresh and real.”

She shared how her decade-long career as a stylist gave her valuable experience. That experience, she said, helped her become a director without ever working as an assistant director.

When asked why Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s directors don’t get enough recognition, Neeraja expressed confidence in making her own mark. She also revealed how Siddhu handled the failure of Jack and how it influenced Telusu Kadha.

We also asked Neeraja some fun questions about styling:

What is the budget of costumes for star films?

What are the costliest and cheapest shirts she ever bought?

How do stylists cover the age difference between heroes and heroines through costumes?

How do stylists handle the tantrums of stars?

Who is the most presentable star she has ever worked with?
