Amid the speculations about a possible postponement due to Omicron Scare, SS Rajamouli has confirmed that there is no chance of such a move. “Tough to postpone the film after several rounds of promotions. Massive investment from several distributors across the country and overseas. January 7th is the date,” Rajamouli has confirmed.
The conditions have suddenly changed in the last one week. Several states imposing night curfew and Delhi Government closing the theaters pushed RRR into confusion and that has fuelled the speculations. Some even went to the extent of exploring the OTT PPV model.
But it looks like there is no going back for the team from here. So, they continue with the promotions. The team is in Trivandrum promoting the Malayalam version. The film’s US premieres will happen the day before. The Pre-Sales of the movie have already crossed 1.2 Million Dollars.
The team is adding extra shows owing to the high demand at many locations.
