Is OG Really Struggling On OTT?

Pawan Kalyan OG OTT response

Pawan Kalyan returned to the big screen in style with OG, which became a strong box-office success. According to the makers, the film collected around ₹300 crore worldwide, marking a solid comeback for the star.

However, the situation on OTT seems different. OG recently premiered on Netflix, but its digital performance so far has been underwhelming. Reports suggest the streaming numbers are ordinary and the film has not seen strong engagement.

Usually, when a superstar film arrives on OTT, it trends on Telugu social media with edits, fan clips and discussion. But OG has not triggered that usual wave. Even the popular elevation scenes have not managed to spark much buzz online.

It has been several days since the OTT launch, yet the film’s footage has not gained momentum on social platforms. Despite Pawan Kalyan’s powerful screen presence, OG is not emerging as a clear winner in the OTT space.

Some viewers feel the film’s focus on style over substance may have affected long-term appeal. If that is the case, it remains to be seen whether OG can sustain enough momentum to justify a sequel.

Unlike KGF and Pushpa, which grew bigger after their OTT runs and boosted sequel hype, OG has not shown similar post-release traction yet. The coming weeks will reveal if the film can pick up steam online.
