Thiruveer starrer pan-India release Oh Sukumari has producer Maheshwar Reddy Mooli feeling highly confident. Speaking about the film’s core appeal, Maheshwar Reddy stated, “It is a good family entertainer. Emotion, comedy, and entertainment are in equal proportions. There is a unique point in this movie. The entertainment and emotions surrounding the ‘electric shock’ concept are very new.”
Elaborating on this intriguing premise, the producer explained the scientific logic woven into the rural narrative. “The ‘shock’ problem shown in it also has logic. Actually, every human body has electric energy. But it is at a different level for each person. We have shown that interesting element in the story,” he revealed, emphasizing that the village backdrop and emotions will remain close to everyone’s heart.
The project began when the film’s cinematographer introduced debutant director Bharat Darshan to the producer. “He narrated the story, and I liked it a lot. I look for novelty in any story I hear. Just like Shivam Bhaje, Oh Sukumari also has a new concept, and that motivated me. We started the film after working on the script for almost a year,” Maheshwar Reddy shared.
Addressing the decision for a grand multi-lingual release on July 17, the producer noted the widespread appeal of the cast and content. “Thiruveer has good recognition in Telugu, and we are releasing it in Tamil for Aishwarya Rajesh. We are releasing it in other languages because it’s a film with good content. The audience will get full-scale entertainment for every rupee they spend on the ticket,” he promised.
