The trailer of a small budget movie ‘Palasa 1978’ came out today. It’s very clear that it’s based on real-life incidents that took place in Palasa in 1978. It’s simply realistic with Srikakulam backdrop and the characters resembling the villagers of that area in 1978.
The realistic value of the movie extends to not only the incidents and the backdrop but also the moments captured in the visuals shown. The actors who were chosen also add to the realistic backdrop.
However, the entire thing is also formulaic as this kind of backdrop reminds us of the settings of films like ‘C/o Kancerapalem’ and ‘Rangasthalam’; the rough terrain, a couple of special songs and the revenge formula, though different, nothing out of the box.
Suresh Productions is the presenter of the movie that is coming to theatres on 6th March. By the way, music director Raghu Kunche will be seen as one of the antagonists of the movie besides rendering music for the movie.
