Whenever a top superstar film releases, Telugu Twitter usually explodes with discussions. Conversations around box office numbers begin from day one and continue till the end of the theatrical run. Fans and critics actively debate every detail.
However, the situation is very different for Pawan Kalyan’s Ustad Bhagat Singh. The film has almost vanished from public discussion. There is very little talk online, which is unusual for a star of his stature.
Reports suggest that the film has failed to cross Rs. 100 crore gross worldwide. It has also completed its run in most markets. What stands out is the lack of trolling or criticism despite this performance.
If a similar result had happened with films starring Prabhas, NTR or Ram Charan, social media would have reacted strongly. There would have been heavy trolling and constant debate across platforms.
Now, it appears that Telugu Twitter users are simply ignoring the film. This silence could be seen as worse than criticism. Many did not expect a Pawan Kalyan film to reach such a stage.
Poor box office performance is already a concern. But the absence of any discussion raises bigger questions. Ignoring a film completely reflects a worrying trend for Kalyan as an actor.
At the same time, Pawan Kalyan is currently focused on his political commitments. This limits his involvement in films. In such cases, the responsibility falls heavily on the director.
Recent directors working with Kalyan have not delivered strong results. Execution issues have affected the final output. This has also impacted the overall reception of his films.
