Peddi Proves Sincere Efforts Lead To Success: RC

Peddi Success Meet

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Peddi is enjoying a successful run in cinemas with packed houses and has maintained a strong hold even on Monday. To celebrate the overwhelming response, the team organized a Thank You Meet today.

Director Buchi Babu explained that Peddi was born out of his fascination with the immense talent hidden in India’s villages. Inspired by initiatives aimed at discovering athletes from remote regions, he crafted a story that highlights forgotten communities and unrealized potential. The filmmaker said he wanted audiences to understand that champions are not created only in cities—many already exist in villages, waiting for the right opportunities. “Ram Charan believed in this story just as much as I did,” he said.

Jagapathi Babu described the film industry as a space where every decision involves significant risk. He praised Charan for believing in an unconventional story and taking responsibility for bringing it to life. Calling the actor a “Superman and He-Man” both on and off screen, he added that Peddi has already begun attaining cult status among moviegoers.

Ram Charan’s faith in the vision proved instrumental. The actor revealed that he instantly connected with the story when he first heard it, even though he later realized the risks involved in making such an unconventional mainstream film.

“Recently, I watched the film in a class theatre, but the response was as explosive as it would have been in a mass theatre. Many people are calling the film inspiring. I thank Buchi Babu and the entire team for giving me this unforgettable experience. Peddi will always remain one of the most special films of my career. When I first heard the story, I immediately hugged Buchi Babu, although I later realized how risky the subject was. Today, audiences have proved that if a film is made with sincerity and a pure heart, success will follow.

Watching Jagapathi Babu in a full-length role moved me deeply. Thanks to Shiva Rajkumar for his contribution. AR Rahman’s music has been a major strength for the film. Producer Satish ensured that we never faced any obstacles despite mounting a massive production. We shot for 185 days, and he stood by us for nearly 165 of those days. Peddi demanded sincerity, and everyone involved gave their best with complete passion.”

The movie is set to cross 300 Cr mark today in worldwide box office collections.
