Peddi Trailer: Ram Charan Follows Allu Arjun’s Footsteps

Ram Charan at Peddi trailer launch

The much-awaited trailer launch event of Peddi is set to take place on May 16, 2026, in Bhopal on a grand scale. According to Variety India report, the event will be attended by Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, director Buchi Babu Sana, producer Venkata Satish Kilaru, and filmmaker Sukumar.

Adding more excitement, music composer AR Rahman is also expected to perform live during the celebrations. Preparations for the event are already underway, and the makers are planning it on a massive scale with expectations of huge fan turnout and strong online buzz.

Interestingly, the team’s decision to hold the trailer launch in Bhopal instead of Hyderabad clearly signals their pan-India ambitions, especially in the Hindi market. A similar strategy worked successfully for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, whose trailer launch event in Patna drew a massive crowd and helped create strong awareness in North India. Pushpa 2 was already a hot property in Hindi even before the trailer launch. Despite that, Allu Arjun still went aggressively into the North market to maximize its potential. Peddi, however, is starting from scratch and has to build that market almost entirely on its own.

The film has already generated significant buzz in Telugu, mainly because of Ram Charan’s rugged makeover and the rooted rural backdrop. The project also features Shiva Rajkumar in a key role, while Rahman’s music has further increased expectations.

There is also encouraging response from overseas markets. Advance bookings in the United States have reportedly opened to strong numbers, particularly among Telugu audiences abroad.

What makes Peddi particularly interesting is that it is being positioned as a large-scale pan-India release despite not being a sequel or part of an established franchise like Pushpa 2 or Baahubali 2. That naturally raises curiosity about how strongly it can connect with audiences in the Hindi belt purely on its own content and star power.

Presented by Mythri Movie Makers and produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, Peddi is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on June 4, 2026.
