As the division of assets and liabilities is nearing end between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the trained sniffer dogs are also being divided between both the states. Sniffers and tracker dogs currently stationed in each of the regions are left as they are. The intelligence security wing dogs were divided according to the population. 10 dogs were given to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana got 8 dogs accordingly.
However the dog training academy in Moinabad will cater the needs of both the states at least for the next 10 years. There are 40 dogs being trained there right now. After the training,they will be given to the respective states according to the requests placed in United State. The academy will continuously train dogs and supply them to districts as the dogs there become old or die for various reasons.
