Pooja Hegde became the top heroine not just in the South but on a pan-India level after delivering 6 continuous hits like Aravinda Sametha, Maharshi, Gaddalakonda Ganesh, Housefull 4, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and Most Eligible Bachelor.
But 2022 has turned out to be a disastrous year for Ms. Hegde. She started the year with the much-hyped Radhe Shyam, but it turned out to be one of the biggest disasters of Indian cinema. Next came Acharya, which also created a record for being the biggest disaster in Telugu in terms of loss.
She was then seen in Beast which broke the HIT streak of Thalapathy Vijay who was riding high with continuous successful films like Mersal, Bigil, and Master.
Pooja Hegde ended the year with an outright disaster in Bollywood with Cirkus. The film became one of the most brutally trolled movies by the audience on social media. The first weekend collections will be around 20-22 crore, and the film might end its run below Rs. 50 Crore. It is all set to become the first disaster in Rohit Shetty’s career.
Pooja Hegde has only two films in her kitty now. Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Mahesh Babu’s film with Trivikram, and she is hoping that these films will redeem her career after an utterly forgettable 2022.
