Prabhas Pahalgam Tragedy

The terrorist attack on innocent Indians at Pahalgam shook the entire nation. The wounds are still fresh, and it’s not just the victims’ families who are mourning—the entire country is in grief. Public sentiment is intensifying with each passing day, and there’s growing pressure to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

Amid all this, one Telugu star has unexpectedly become the center of controversy surrounding the Pahalgam tragedy—none other than the Pan-India superstar Prabhas, who is currently at the peak of his career.

The reason? His upcoming film Fauji, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi features Imanvi as the heroine.

Following the attack, certain media outlets and segments of social media began putting pressure on the production house, the director, and Prabhas himself, demanding that Imanvi be removed from the film.

They warned of consequences, accusing the team of being anti-national. The situation escalated when Prabhas, known for his humble and kind-hearted nature, chose to remain silent on the issue.

While some understand that not every public figure must post formal condemnations, especially in such emotionally charged times, others criticized his silence. Social media turned toxic, with fans and anti fans clashing over why Prabhas hadn’t made a public statement.

There’s little doubt that Prabhas would never support any anti-national elements, but unfortunately the online narrative spiraled, dragging him into an unnecessary controversy.

Adding fuel to the fire, the heroine Imanvi also became a talking point. She eventually issued a statement clarifying that she has no ties to Pakistan, that she moved to the U.S. long ago, pursued her education there, became a dancer, and later landed the role in Fauji. Whether this will be enough to calm the outrage and clear Prabhas and the production house of accusations remains to be seen.

We hope this unnecessary controversy dies down and the focus returns to what truly matters—justice for the victims and national unity.
