A cheating case was filed on Raghawa Lawrence, the choreographer turned film maker by the producers of ‘Rebel’ movie. The cheating case was failed in the Jubilee Hills Police Station under sections 406 and 420. Coming to the details, Raghava Lawrence agreed to do a movie to the producers of Prabhas-Tamanna starrer ‘Rebel’ @ Rs.23 crores as the estimated cost of production. But the budget of the movie went upto Rs.29 crores.
As per the complainants, Lawrence agreed to pay back if the movie’s cost of production goes beyond the agreed amount. Hence after 2 years, the producers approachedthe director demanding to pay back their money. But since he refused as per the suggestions of the Court, the producers filed a cheating case on Lawrence and his personal scretary Raj Kumar who was present during the agreement. Bhagavan and Pullarao were the producers of ‘Rebel’ which was a disastrous fare at the box-office.
