Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-awaited film Spirit was initially set to begin shooting this summer. However, the project is now expected to be delayed.
Prabhas recently suffered an injury, affecting his ongoing films, The Raja Saab and Fauji. Since these projects are already behind schedule, Spirit will also take longer to start, according to industry sources. Meanwhile, Sandeep Vanga is fine-tuning the script and holding discussions about the film’s casting.

Last month, the makers announced a casting call, but there is no clarity yet on the female lead. Auditions saw participation from both fresh faces and established actresses interested in working with Prabhas.
Actor Manchu Vishnu publicly expressed interest in joining Spirit, but it remains unclear if he will be cast. Reports also claimed that Suhas auditioned for an important role and was almost finalized. However, Suhas himself denied this, stating that he never auditioned and is busy with other projects.

Meanwhile, multiple casting rumors have been circulating. Reports suggested that South Korean actor Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok), known for Train to Busan and Eternals, might play the antagonist. Vijay Sethupathi was also considered for a role.
Bollywood reports claimed that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor could play gangsters in the film, going up against Prabhas. However, none of these names have been officially confirmed.
