Hitting the Rs 1000 crore mark has become a new benchmark for spectacle films in Indian cinema. The likes of Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF, and others have achieved the feat of South cinema.
Now, the expectations are soaring high on upcoming pan-Indian outings as hitting the Rs 1000 crore gross appears to be the new target.
In the case of Prabhas, he has two potentially sureshot films that could well touch the Rs 1000 crore mark.
The two films are Kalki 2 and Salaar 2. While Salaar is a proven mass commercial film where the first part did in the vicinity of Rs 600 crore, Kalki is still going great guns with the makers quoting that the film did Rs 700 crore already.
Considering the stage set by the first part of Kalki and Salaar, the chances are that the sequels could release with mad hype regardless of the promotional planning that goes into them.
As it appears, Prabhas is the only Telugu hero who has two seemingly shureshot Rs 1000 crore grossers and both of them are sequels.
Needless to say, sequels always enjoy the advantage of wider reception, as was seen in the case of Baahubali 2 and KGF 2. We could soon be seeing the same again with Pushpa 2. As for Prabhas, he has two such highly prospective sequels.
