Pradeep Ranganathan returned to theatres this Diwali with his new film Dude. The movie opened strong, earning around ₹18 crore worldwide on its first day his best opening so far. It shows that your favourite actor’s reach is clearly growing.
But when you look at his performance, there’s one thing that stands out. In emotionally charged scenes, Pradeep often repeats the same facial expressions and sounds. You may have noticed this before in Love Today and Dragon.
While those reactions felt fresh in his earlier films, they now seem overused. In Dude, especially during the mother conversation scene, it felt repetitive and predictable. It’s time for him to evolve and bring more depth to his emotions.
Pradeep has a rare screen presence and a unique body language that sets him apart. If he fine-tunes his expressions and explores new ways to convey emotion, he can easily take his acting to the next level.
