Director Prashant Neel is one of the most reputed commercial film makers in Indian cinema at the moment. Almost every star hero is excited to work with him and that pretty much speaks for itself.
However, there is one significant complaint about Prashanth that is to be addressed with his upcoming film with NTR.

The complaint is that Prashanth is indeed capable of delivering good commercial cinema, but he was never able to showcase the acting prowess of his heroes.
Earlier in KGF, Yash was seen with thick beard that covered most of his face. Emotions wise, there was very little to do for him as the film almost entirely ran on elevations and director’s shoulders. There was little to no scope for acting here.

Same was the case with Salaar as well. This film entirely rode on the mass cutout of Prabhas. Apart from looking super masculine, and acing the action violent shots, there was very little for Prabhas to do in terms of acting brilliance.
It is a fact that commercial films only need commercial elements to succeed, and there is not much scope for acting here.

But if we look at the likes of Rajamouli and Sukumar, they expertly craft commercial Cinema with enough scope for heroes to tap into their emotion banks. This is something that Prashanth had been missing all the while.
This talented filmmaker now has a brilliant actor in the form of NTR at his disposal, and the expectation is that he must address this issue and craft the product accordingly. NTR is a reputed actor, and he will happily give his very best in terms of emoting.
Neel must somehow find the scope to pull out the best emotional core and deliver a product that doesn’t just elevate him as a director but also his hero as an actor.
The responsibility is now on Prashanth to address this Key complaint about him in order to round off his image further.
