NTR’s upcoming pan-India film tentatively titled Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, has already begun its regular shooting schedule in Hyderabad.
However, NTR has yet to join the shoot, and the team is currently filming scenes that do not involve him. He is expected to join the sets in March.
The film promises to be a high-octane action entertainer, crafted in Prashanth Neel’s signature style.
NTR’s Devara was a reasonable success in Hindi belts but not satisfactory. Neel has designed the story to elevate NTR’s mass appeal and connect it to a pan-India audience.
To achieve this, Prashanth Neel has brought in top-notch technicians, including some first-class foreign experts. Additionally, massive sets are being built for the film, with crores of rupees being invested in the technical aspects.
The film is being produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. Until now, there has been no official discussion about the film’s budget.
However, recent leaks suggest that the film has been allocated a massive budget of 500 crores which is more than Salaar.
Prashanth Neel was also disappointed with Salaar’s performance, as he expected bigger box office numbers. He openly admitted that the film’s performance upset him. His aim this time must be to deliver a 1000 crore blockbuster.
Neel will hopefully avoid the mistakes he made in Salaar. Additionally, NTR is a highly dedicated actor, so this time, Prashanth Neel will have him deliver powerful dialogues—something he couldn’t fully achieve with Prabhas in Salaar.
