After Devara and WAR 2, Jr NTR is set to collaborate with director Prashanth Neel for an upcoming film, tentatively titled Dragon. The regular shoot is scheduled to begin in January 2025.
Many believe this project could be Jr NTR’s biggest pan-India hit, potentially surpassing the success of Prashanth Neel’s previous film, Salaar, which grossed ₹600 crores worldwide.
With a massive budget ranging between ₹350-400 crores, expectations are sky-high.
While initial speculation suggested Dragon could be a two-part film, it now seems that Prashanth Neel plans to release it as a single installment. The director is reportedly charging a hefty remuneration for the project.
Additionally, Neel has asked NTR to bulk up his physique for the role, and NTR will soon undergo intense training to gain weight and build muscle.
Although Prashanth Neel’s screenplay in Salaar drew mixed reactions, his direction, particularly in choreographing Prabhas’ fight sequences, was widely praised.
Fans are hopeful that Neel will present Jr NTR in an even grander way, as the director has openly expressed his admiration for the actor.
Dragon is expected to hit screens on January 9, 2026, with rumors suggesting the film will revolve around the Bangladesh drug mafia.
