Prince-Telugu-Movie-Jathi-Ratnalu-Cringe-On-RepeatDirector Anudeep scored a huge blockbuster with Jathi Ratnalu. The Telugu audience lapped up the silly comedy in it because it worked very well within the context of the subject and stellar performances from the lead actors made it watchable.

Director Anudeep tried to follow the same formula in his next production, First Day First Show which fell flat on its face.

Now Anudeep is coming up with Prince starring Sivakarthikeyan. The trailer of the film was unveiled yesterday and it looks like Anudeep is still stuck in that cringe comedy zone.

The scenes involving jokes like Mayor- Major, Elizabeth Taylor (Tailor), and “All Indians are my brothers and sisters that’s why I loved a British girl,” evoke facepalm moments instead of mirth. The audience has become much more evolved now and such dialogues only invite trolling.

The film was publicized as bilingual but it’s clear by looking at the trailer that Prince is basically a Tamil film that is getting dubbed in Telugu.
