Sritej gained recognition for his raw and intense roles in movies like Pushpa, Dhamaka, and Mangalavaram. His performance in the recently released Bahishkarana web series, where he played the lead role, is also receiving love from the audience and is currently streaming on Zee 5.
Despite his talent, many feel Sritej is underrated and underutilized. Directors should notice his potential and offer him roles that truly showcase his abilities. Additionally, there is a concern that he is being typecast in rural and rustic roles. More diverse roles could allow him to demonstrate his versatility.
Sritej is also part of the highly anticipated pan-India movie Pushpa 2. Remarkably, he has turned down seven or eight projects for this role, as he himself revealed.
“I left some films for Pushpa 2. I turned down up to eight projects in ten months. When doing a big film like Pushpa, you have to be ready to do whatever is called for at any moment. Schedules also vary. It takes at least three months for the beard to grow back to this level after removal. So, I had to give up some projects for my look,” Sritej explained.
His dedication to Pushpa 2 shows his commitment to his craft, and hopefully, more directors will recognize his talent and offer him a wider range of roles in the future.
