PV Sindhu has created history by confirming a medal in the ongoing Rio Olympics and one person who caught equal attention when the badminton star was playing was her coach Pullela Gopichand, the Arjuna Award winner for his services as a badminton player.

A biopic on Gopichand to be produced by debutante producer Abhishek Nama, starring Mahesh’s brother in law Sudheer Babu has been on cards for some time. Now that Sindhu has made it really grand with Silver medal, this is the right time for the biopic to begin when the heat is on.
Irrespective of the result in the finals, Sindhu is being lauded as the golden girl in badminton in the coming days. A biopic on her coach will be a sure shot. The preproduction work on the biopic has already begun. This movie is going to be directed by Praveen Sattaru. Isn’t it a perfect timing for the takeoff?
