SS Rajamouli is currently working with superstar Mahesh Babu on his ambitious project, tentatively titled SSMB 29. The film began production several months ago and has already completed its first two shooting schedules at an impressive pace.
Initially, reports suggested that Rajamouli would change his usual working style to speed up production. However, the project’s progress has slowed down in recent weeks, with little information available about new schedules or shooting updates.
It now seems that the filmmaker has returned to his signature approach slow, detailed, and perfection-driven. Known for extracting the best possible results from his cast and crew, Rajamouli doesn’t mind delays if they ensure high-quality output.
Adding to the delay, Rajamouli is currently involved in the re-release of Baahubali, scheduled for October 31, which has diverted some of his attention. This is unusual for the director, who rarely allows other projects to overlap with his main film’s production.
Despite the slow pace, industry insiders note that no one questions Rajamouli’s timing, given his unmatched record of delivering cinematic masterpieces. Even Mahesh Babu seems to understand that working under Rajamouli’s perfectionist process is worth the wait.
