SS Rajamouli worked with a stable core crew till the recent past. But for the film with Mahesh, he has brought in the changes big time as he replaced his trusted cinematographer Senthil with PS Vinod.
Also, Rajamouli usually works with Sabu Cyril, a leading production designer but this time, for Mahesh’s film, he picked Mohan Bingi for the job.
Incidentally, Mohan had earlier worked on Prabhas’s Adipurush which was a mega disaster. The film was trolled for each and every aspect except the music. The lackluster presentation meant that every technician came under the pump with no exception for the production designer Mohan Bingi either.
However, that doesn’t appear to have fazed Rajamouli as he has reportedly Mohan for the job. Needless to say, Rajamouli is a master when it comes to extracting the very best of his crew so if he picks Adipurush’s production designer it obviously means that he saw potential in the technician.
Production designing is a key job for Rajamouli’s big-budgeted projects and it has to be seen how Rajamouli will mould and use Mohan Bingi who worked on disaster Adipurush. As the saying goes, one film’s failure isn’t a testament of a technician’s talent.
