Rajinikanth’s most anticipated sequel Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on October 15th as a Dussehra special. With only a few days left until the release, the makers of the film have started promoting it by conducting events.
One of the major reasons for the massive pre- release hype of the original Jailer was Rajinikanth‘s powerful speech at the Jailer audio launch. Hence, many people expected an audio launch for Jailer 2 as well.
However, surprisingly, the makers of Jailer 2 have not conducted any audio launch event for the film. Instead, they conducted a rave party featuring Anirudh’s performance and released the entire album of Jailer 2.
Since the rave party also didn’t create the expected impact and fans of Rajinikanth are frustrated, it seems like the makers of Jailer 2 are now planning an unexpected promotion.
According to reports, Sun Pictures is now planning to conduct a special interview for Jailer 2 featuring Superstar Rajinikanth and it is expected to be telecast on Sun TV just a few days before the release, on October 11th.
Even though Rajinikanth’s fans have already started celebrating this speculation and claim that the makers have finally come up with a solid promotional strategy for the film, others are wondering whether Jailer 2 will end up as a failure like Beast, pointing to the previous Beast interview.
This is because, while all of Vijay’s other films had an audio launch function, only for the film Beast also directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Sun Pictures avoided an audio launch and instead planned a special interview with Vijay, hosted by Nelson Dilipkumar. Therefore, pointing to the result of Beast, which ended up as a terrible disaster, many fans fear that Jailer 2 might also end up as a failure.
Nonetheless, there are still no official updates on the special interview for Jailer 2 and it remains to be seen whether the makers will conduct a special interview featuring Rajinikanth as a promotion and whether it will help boost the hype for the film in the following days.
