Raju Weds Rambai Nizam BO Shocker: How Far Will It Go?

Raju Weds Rambai box office performance

Among this week’s Telugu releases, only Raju Weds Rambai is performing better at the box office. All the other films opened with weak talk and failed to attract audiences. They ended up as washouts. Raj Tarun’s Paanch Minar received slightly better response, but the makers did not promote it properly. Even though Raj Tarun and his team attended press meets, the buzz did not reach the wider public. As a result, most viewers are choosing Raju Weds Rambai, which has stronger emotional content and with a shocking climax.

The film is performing especially well in the Nizam region. In Andhra Pradesh, occupancy is weaker. Trade circles feel the movie’s Telangana flavor is helping it more in Hyderabad, Karimnagar and Adilabad. Reports suggest Hyderabad alone is contributing the majority of the revenue. In just 2 days, the film earned around Rs. 4 crores gross. This is impressive for a non-star cast film. BookMyShow even recorded over 69,000 ticket sales in the last 24 hours. This number is usually seen for tier 2 heroes. The film is one of the best performing films in the country now.

Sunday collections are expected to be strong. Several theatres have already increased shows. However, a small controversy has emerged. The makers promoted a Rs. 99 to Rs. 105 ticket offer, but many exhibitors charged regular rates. Viewers felt upset because the producers never clearly announced that the offer was valid for only 1 day. Some fans believe that if the movie had received flop talk, the earlier discounts would have continued. Because it got hit talk, the makers suddenly changed the rates to cash the buzz.

Despite this issue, the film has already turned into a success. With a low budget, Raju Weds Rambai crossed the break even quickly. The next question is how much profit it can make in the coming days. With strong emotional appeal and positive word of mouth, the film is expected to continue drawing decent crowds throughout the week.
