Ram Charan is possibly one of the most hard-working and ably gifted actors in the contemporary generation of Telugu stars. The kind of physical and mental efforts that he puts into his films is unquestionable.
However, the problem has been with the choice of the directors and their actual deliverables when it comes to working with Charan.
First, it was the case of Game Changer which disappeared without a trace at the ticket counters. This was followed by a reasonably good film in the form of Peddi. However, despite the moderately encouraging reviews, this film went nowhere.
Despite the big budget, and the consistent efforts of Charan, Peddi turned out to be one of the least culturally impactful films from Telugu stars in recent times. There is absolutely not discussion happening on the creative side of this film, just days after the release.
For a star, like Charan with all the hard work that he puts, his films must be the talk of the town even weeks or months after the release. But that is not happening with Charan now, and this largely attributes to the choice of the directors.
For a star, as big as him, the emphasis must always be on working with the best in grade filmmakers like Prashanth Neel, Sukumar, and others. This is where the energies of Charan must be spent, and that must be a non-negotiable for him from now on.
