One of the biggest production ventures in Indian cinema is currently happening in the form of Ramayana, which marks the collaboration of Ranbir Kapoor and Yash.
There is this one particular observation on this film that is grabbing the headlines now, and this has something to do with the two part series phenomenon.
It is understandable that the makers are looking to milk the entire box office prospect of this film by making it in two parts so that the sequel will have umpteen potential like Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2, or KGF 2.
But at the same time, this film might face a bit of a challenge in terms of storytelling when it comes to the two parts proposition.
The second part will be heavily relying on the massive war action episode between Ram and Ravan, which can be enhanced further by graphic footage.
But the first part is going to be a significant challenge as it would be a challenge for the Director to come up with engaging stuff for a full three hours without the final climax war episode.
This will have a lot to do with the early life of Prabhu Sriram and Sita Devi. There is indeed scope to touch on lesser explored components of the Ramayana in the first part by covering the early life of Ram. But the Director will have to be skilled enough to keep the audience hooked with this drama factor.
This is going to be a pretty significant challenge for everyone involved, but if they can surpass this, then the sequel will be of insane potential. Needless to say, the first part is releasing this Diwali while the second part will be releasing next Diwali.
