Ramayana English Premiere Receives Positive Response

Ramayana English Premiere

The English version of Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, was screened at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles last night, where it reportedly received a positive response. The premiere introduced the Indian epic to an international audience nearly a week ahead of its theatrical release in India.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to X to share the news. He highlighted the response to the screening and the significance of presenting an Indian story to overseas audiences. His post also appreciated producer Namit Malhotra for organising the international premiere ahead of the film’s release in India.

The move reflects the makers’ efforts to position Ramayana beyond the domestic market. Rather than waiting for its Indian release, they have begun introducing the film to international audiences, allowing the story to reach viewers overseas.

“Early reactions from #LosAngeles continue to pour in, with the film’s reception reflecting the growing global interest in #India’s timeless epic,” he wrote.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film has attracted attention for its scale, subject and international presentation.

Ramayana is scheduled for a Diwali release on November 5. With its English premiere receiving positive early reactions, the film has begun its international promotional activities ahead of its theatrical release.
