Ramayana Budget Drops From 4000 Cr to 1400 Cr: How?

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has been in the headlines over the last few months. The reasons have been different, and the situation has already taken a different turn, with advance booking being opened for everyone.

This time, the movie is trending as a new debate has emerged. This is related to the budget, which is one of the reasons why the film has created a lot of buzz. While it was reported that the planned project fell under the range of Rs. 500 crores, it kept on expanding and touched the mark of Rs. 4,000 crores.

But right now, two different reports have created doubts among the audience, as one of them claims that the budget is Rs. 4,000 crores and the other says Rs. 1,400 crores. Notably, the latter figure has been claimed by a national outlet, and the previous one was shared by an international outlet.

Netizens are now confused about which figure they should trust. Some even claimed that the real figure is being hidden from the audience and that there is a particular reason for that.

Ever since advance booking opened, the makers of Ramayana have been dealing with a lot of criticism, specifically due to the price of the tickets at the premium theatres. The advance has been good, but the sold-out status has not come for any show so far, and the majority believes that it is due to the ticket prices.

Considering the ongoing situation, netizens claimed that the makers are now trying to save themselves in case the movie fails to get a big opening and the collections turn out to be underwhelming. People wrote that due to this fear, the budget is expected to go down each day, in case the report of Rs. 4,000 crores is true.

On the other hand, a particular section clarified that the film’s budget is only Rs. 2,000 crores, with Rs. 1,400 crore being spent on production, followed by Rs. 600 crores on marketing. A lot of other people agreed to the fact that if anyone looks at the scale of the film, it should be somewhere between Rs. 1,800 to Rs. 2,000 crores.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor’s fans expressed their satisfaction with the fact that the film is in the headlines once again. They said that this will contribute to more bookings, helping the film to take a big opening at the box office.

After the success of Dhurandhar 2, Awarapan 2, and Mirzapur The Movie, trade experts are expecting a blockbuster status from Ramayana due to the hype it has created before release. With only two weeks left, only time will tell if the film will create records and deliver something entertaining to the audience.
