What happens when an ordinary man’s long-standing wish suddenly brings three celestial beauties into his world? That is the core point driving Ramba Oorvasi Menaka, and its newly released teaser makes it clear that the film is built to let Allari Naresh do what he does best-create chaos and comedy.
The teaser opens with the legend of a family magic book. According to the belief passed down through generations, drawing the right rangoli on the book can summon Ramba, Oorvasi and Menaka from Indra Lokam. The protagonist spends 25 years trying to make it happen, and when the divine trio finally appears, his dream quickly turns into an amusing predicament.
The fantasy setup gives Allari Naresh the perfect platform. He is at ease with the rustic atmosphere, quirky situations and humour, while his impeccable comic timing adds further punch to the teaser. Surabhi plays the female lead, while Rashi Singh, Vishnupriya, and Prisha Singh are part of the celestial world. Vennela Kishore appears in a role as Indra that promises plenty of laughs. Naresh VK is seen as Naresh’s father.
Director Chandra Mohan Chintada blended folklore, fantasy and rural comedy into a light-hearted entertainer. Raam Reddy’s cinematography and Chaitan Bharadwaj’s music are big assets.
Produced by Razesh Danda and Nimmakayala Prasad under Annapurna Studios and Hasya Movies, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka looks like a return to the comic zone that has long been Allari Naresh’s strongest territory.
