Ramoji Rao is also into Film Production. He produced many films since 1984 on his Ushakiran Movies Banner.
It is also interesting to note that he was the one who introduced Junior NTR into films.
Ushakiran Movies banner produced NTR’s debut film, Ninnu Choodalani in 2001. Ramoji Rao liked NTR’s diction and close resemblance to NT Ramarao and decided to launch him in the film industry.
Even though the film did not do well at the box office, it was the introduction for one of the biggest Superstars of Telugu Cinema.
Ramoji Rao had a sharp business mind. He was very quick to realize that Film Business is not going to be tenable for producers and slowed down after 2009.
He produced only two films and co-produced two films between 2010 and 2015.
Dagudumootha Dandakor is Ushakiran Movies’ last film (co-produced with First Frame Entertainments) in 2015.
Junior NTR posted a condolence message remembering the Legend.
“శ్రీ రామోజీ రావు గారు లాంటి దార్శనీకులు నూటికో కోటికో ఒకరు. మీడియా సామ్రాజ్యాధినేత మరియూ భారతీయ సినిమా దిగ్గజం అయినటువంటి ఆయన లేని లోటు ఎప్పటికీ పూడ్చలేనటువంటిది. ఆయన మన మధ్యన ఇక లేరు అనే వార్త చాలా బాధాకరం. ‘నిన్ను చూడాలని’ చిత్రంతో నన్ను తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమకి పరిచయం చేసినప్పటి జ్ఞాపకాలు ఎప్పటికి మరువలేను. ఆ మహనీయుడి ఆత్మకు శాంతి చేకూరాలని కోరుకుంటూ, వారి కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు నా ప్రగాఢ సానుభూతి తెలియజేస్తున్నాను,” NTR posted on X.
