Rashi’s Bold Take: Don’t Like Paid Heroines, Don’t Subscribe

Rashi Singh on Instagram subscriptions

Hot glam beauty Rashi Singh is once again trying her luck with Allari Naresh’s fantasy comedy entertainer Rambha Oorvasi Menaka. During a recent promotional interview, she was asked about the growing trend of actresses using paid Instagram subscription accounts.

Rashi Singh did not see anything wrong or controversial about the practice. According to her, Instagram subscriptions are a personal choice for both the creator and the subscriber.

She made her point very clearly: “It’s their Instagram account, their choice. If you have a problem with it, simply don’t subscribe. It’s that simple.”

Rashi feels there is no reason for people to complain about paid subscriptions when nobody is forcing them to pay for the content. If someone is uncomfortable with what is offered behind the paywall, they can simply choose not to subscribe.

She also pointed out that several popular actresses in Mumbai already have Instagram subscription features. Since the option is officially provided by Instagram, she does not see anything inherently wrong with actresses choosing to use it.

However, Rashi herself has no plans to start a paid subscription account.

She explained that she is a shy person and already struggles to manage everything she currently has on her plate. Apart from acting and attending interviews, she has to maintain her social media presence and also manage her cafe business. Adding another platform and regularly creating exclusive content would be too much for her.

Instagram subscriptions have become a topic of debate recently, particularly after several actresses, including some from Tollywood, started offering paid content to subscribers. The obscene nature of some of the exclusive content has also triggered backlash and controversy on social media.
