Ravi Teja is currently enjoying the kind of comeback every actor dreams of. Irumudi has turned into a phenomenal box-office success, performing strongly across A, B, C and even D centers. The film is going houseful in many theaters even on its first Monday today.
Such a unanimous theatrical response has become increasingly rare in recent times. After a string of disappointing films and box-office disasters, Ravi Teja has finally found a film that has connected on this level with audiences across different sections.
Now, the focus is shifting to his next project with Sree Vishnu.
The film, reportedly titled Veeradhi Veerulu C/O Mahila Mandali, is expected to begin shooting by the end of this month. Directed by Hasith Goli and produced by Dil Raju, the team will initially shoot a few scenes featuring Ravi Teja.
Sree Vishnu is expected to join the shoot from the first week of September.
The combination of Ravi Teja and Sree Vishnu has already generated curiosity. Both actors have their own comic timing and distinctive screen presence, making their first major combination an interesting one to watch.
The makers are reportedly targeting Sankranthi 2027 for the theatrical release. That could put the film right in the middle of what is already shaping up to be an extremely crowded Sankranthi season, with several big Telugu films competing for screens and audiences.
For Ravi Teja, however, the timing could not be better.
After Irumudi, expectations around his next film will naturally be much higher. In the past, Ravi Teja has often fumbled after delivering a blockbuster, following it up with a streak of bad films. But this time, he cannot afford to waste the fantastic momentum created by Irumudi.
The challenge is now much bigger.
Ravi Teja has to turn this comeback into something bigger and more consistent. Irumudi has given him the momentum. His next film will decide whether this is a genuine career revival or simply a one-film relief after years of disasters.
