Ravi Teja’s Irumudi arrived in theatres yesterday and is already getting a good response from audiences. Now, there is clarity on the film’s OTT partner.
The film’s digital rights have been acquired by streaming giant Netflix. After its theatrical run, Irumudi is expected to make its OTT debut on the platform and will be tentative streaming from September 18.
However, the date has not been officially confirmed by Netflix or the makers yet. So, September 18 should be considered as a tentative date for now.
Directed by Shiva Nirvana, Irumudi stars Ravi Teja in the lead, with Priya Bhavani Shankar and Nakshatra playing key roles. The film opened in theatres yesterday and has been receiving a positive response, giving it a strong start at the box office.
With the theatrical run now underway, the Netflix deal adds another major development to the film’s journey. If the current plan stays intact, Irumudi could head to Netflix in the second half of September.
