Prabhas’ Kalki 2898AD is having a good run at the box office. Director Nag Ashwin, in an interview, admitted that there are certain lapses in the film and he should have handled the emotions even better in the film.
One particular criticism about the film is having multiple cameos.

Even though they did not impact the film much, the common opinion is that the cameos are a distraction in the World Building in a serious subject like Kalki.
While there are many inconsequential cameos, Ram Gopal Varma’s cameo in particular has come as a surprise.

It is known to our readers that Aswini Dutt is a strong support of Chandrababu Naidu. Ram Gopal Varma is someone who stooped to a disgusting low. He made films degrading Chandrababu and had horrible actors mocking Chandrababu and Lokesh in those films.
He also used to post disgusting morphed pictures of them on X and derive pleasure.

So having a cameo of RGV in Aswini Dutt’s film came as a surprise.
In an interaction with the media, Nag Ashwin termed the cameo as a tribute to RGV – the great director. If that is the reason, it is a big judgement error by Nag Ashwin.
Keeping aside the political nonsense of RGV, he is not even a pale shadow of a great director these days.
Nag Ashwin says RGV’s cameo got the biggest response but he should realize that is not a positive reaction on any front.
We have seen him ogling at young heroines and posting pictures of their thighs and of himself licking their feet.
Ram Gopal Varma is a disgrace of his own past and even as a human being today.
Either way he is ineligible for a tribute and that too in an ambitious film like Kalki 2898AD.
Even once the hardcore fans of RGV are shy of taking his name these days. Having his cameo is a bad judgement by the director and the team of Vyjayanthi.
