Thanks to the AI revolution, it has become increasingly common for the social media folk to acclimate themselves with this technology to create artificial images of actors and actresses. A similar scenario was observed in the case of Rukmini Vasanth.
Recently, there were a couple of pictures and videos of this talented actress that were digitally morphed using AI to make it look like she’s in a pool, wearing a bikini.
These pictures immediately went viral, and there was a lot of discussion happening on the same on social media. This immediately warranted legal action from the actress as she approached the cyber crime department.
Now the Bangalore cyber crime department has communicated that three men have been arrested in connection with this case. This is a significant piece of action in a timely manner as well.
This is a strong precedent that was set by the police department as actresses have been seriously prone to such pictures and imagery on social media these days. Strong action like this, and subsequent follow-up activities could prevent actresses facing such detrimental situations in the future.
Over last few months, we have been seeing literally thousands of pictures and videos where actresses are being largely objectified using AI. So such activities like the one from the cyber crime department today will do the job certainly.
Perhaps it is right for other actresses also to take the same path if they wish to avoid facing such consequences in the near future.
