Director Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film, Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is generating immense excitement in Bollywood circles. However, recently leaked images of the lead actors portraying Lord Rama and Goddess Sita have sparked both admiration and controversy.
While some loved the pair as Rama & Sita, others felt Ranbir was too old to pray Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi wasn’t as beautiful to play Sita.
On the other hand, a few ‘so-called’ nationalists object to Sai Pallavi playing Sita because they assume she is a Hindu hater. It all goes back to 2022 when Sai Pallavi expressed her opinions about The Kashmir Files movie.
During the promotions of Virata Parvam, Sai Pallavi made some strong comments about the Kashmiri Pandit exodus shown in The Kashmir Files and cow vigilantism.
She had said that the movie The Kashmir Files showed how Kashmiri Pandits were killed during the 90s.
Many recent incidents happened where a Muslim driver transporting cows was beaten up and forced to chant Jai Shri Ram. She said there was no difference between these two incidents.
Her opinion then hurt the sentiments of a section of people who are now opposing Sai Pallavi playing the revered role of Mata Sita in Ramayana.
Sai Pallavi has already addressed and clarified her stance on these matters. It’s time to move past these controversies and acknowledge her talent as an actor.
We firmly believe that she will deliver an amazing performance as Sita in Ramayana.
