However, not all attempts have worked equally well. Sailesh Kolanu and Gowtam Tinnanuri tried to leave an impression with Hit: The First Case and Jersey. Despite expectations, both films failed to make a strong impact in the Hindi market.
Now, attention has shifted to Vamshi Paidipally. With Salman Khan leading the project, there is curiosity about whether past mistakes like Sikandar will repeat. Fans are hopeful, especially as Salman is currently going through a challenging phase.
Initial reports suggest that Vamshi’s next film with Salman Khan will be a gangster drama. Though this appears new for Vamshi, he has touched upon a similar idea briefly in Yevadu. The genre choice has sparked mixed reactions already.
Vamshi’s films have often followed a familiar pattern. Many of them worked mainly due to the star power of lead actors. Critics have also pointed out a recurring theme of a saviour figure helping people in difficult situations.
Trade experts have not yet predicted the fate of this project. However, they believe filmmakers must be more cautious now. Audience expectations have changed significantly after Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, making content quality more important than ever.
Routine action and gangster dramas may not succeed easily today. Fresh storytelling and engaging presentation have become essential. Experts feel Vamshi must bring a new approach while also meeting the expectations of Salman Khan’s fan base.
The film is scheduled for release during Eid next year. This festive period has usually been favourable for Salman, even for films like Race 3. With enough time in hand, it remains to be seen if he can deliver a hit again.
