Spider-Man Post-Credit Scene: Marvel Fooled Avengers Fans?

Spider-Man post credit Doctor Doom twist

Marvel fans walked into Spider-Man: Brand New Day expecting the usual post-credit surprise.

With Avengers: Doomsday set to be the MCU’s next big event and Robert Downey Jr. returning as Doctor Doom, many believed the film would offer a major hint about what lies ahead.

Instead, audiences were caught completely off guard.

After the actual post-credit scene ended, another sequence began with the words “Doom is here” and a mysterious figure wearing Doctor Doom’s iconic mask.

For a few moments, viewers believed Marvel had dropped a surprise teaser for Avengers: Doomsday.

The excitement didn’t last long.

The masked figure was then revealed riding a TVS Raider Super Squad Edition motorcycle with an Indian registration plate.

This made it clear that the entire sequence was an advertisement created as part of a brand collaboration with Marvel.

The unexpected reveal left theatres buzzing.

While some moviegoers appreciated the creative marketing gimmick, many others felt they had been fooled.

Fans who stayed back expecting a major Doctor Doom reveal or an important Avengers: Doomsday hint were left disappointed when the sequence turned out to be a commercial instead.

Reports from multiplexes also suggested that several viewers who had already exited the auditorium rushed back inside after hearing there was another scene, only to discover it was an advertisement.

While some laughed at the prank, others expressed their frustration, saying they had expected something much bigger from Marvel’s trademark post credit tradition.
