It is well known that Deepika Padukone exited Spirit following reported disagreements over contractual terms, including working hours.
Speaking to a television channel, Pranay Reddy Vanga opened up further about the controversy. He claimed that Deepika demanded 10% of the film’s net profits following the success of her recent movies, suggesting that this was where the differences began to emerge.
Pranay also revealed that it was Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s decision to remove her from Spirit. According to him, Sandeep trusted Deepika for nearly a year and shared several confidential details about the film with her. He felt it was unfair that some of those details were allegedly leaked after she exited the project.
Following her departure from Spirit, Deepika signed the Hollywood film Rakha. Whether she ultimately regrets leaving Spirit or feels vindicated by the decision may depend on how both films perform upon release.
