Sandeep Reddy Vanga has once again taken a playful dig at the censor board, and it has already started a conversation around Spirit.
At the Romanchakam event, Vanga joked that even if he makes a clean film, the censor board might still give it an A certificate. The line was delivered casually, but coming from Vanga, it naturally carries some weight.
His films have never been easy conversations for the censor board. Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh and Animal all sparked debates over violence, sexuality and the way certain themes were presented. Vanga has also been quite open about his views on the certification process.
That brings the attention to Spirit. The Prabhas film is currently around 40% complete, and Vanga is reportedly shooting in shorter schedules, taking breaks to check the footage and work on post-production before moving ahead.
There is still time before Spirit reaches the censor table. But Vanga’s latest comment has already set up an interesting question.

We will know only when the film is ready. But considering the filmmaker’s track record, the certification stage could be one more talking point around Spirit.
