Prabhas’ much-awaited Spirit is once again generating buzz, with reports claiming that the film’s pre-climax and climax are going to be major highlights. The pre-climax reportedly features a big twist that could thrill audiences, with some reports even suggesting that the sequence could become one of the standout moments of Prabhas’ career.
However, the timing of these reports is raising questions among fans.
Recently, the film’s producer Pranay Reddy Vanga spoke about Spirit in a podcast and revealed details that appear to have changed the perception around the film. He said the story is largely set in Hyderabad and is essentially a local story. He also clarified that Korean star Don Lee is not part of the film.
These comments reportedly disappointed a section of Prabhas fans. There was considerable speculation that Spirit would have a huge international backdrop, Korean mafia elements and a massive scale. With those expectations now appearing to be wrong, the hype around the film has taken a big hit, particularly among hardcore Prabhas fans.
The perception has also shifted from a large-scale mafia drama to a local cop story that could depend heavily on Prabhas’ screen presence, intense moments and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s trademark shock value. Some fans feel the film may not have the scale they were expecting.
Vanga is also reportedly trying to complete Spirit with relatively lower production costs compared to Prabhas’ other films. This has added to the concerns among some fans who were expecting another massive spectacle.
Against this backdrop, the sudden reports about the pre-climax and climax being outstanding are being viewed as possible damage control. There is speculation that these reports could be aimed at restoring some of the lost excitement around the film and keeping the hype alive.
Spirit is said to be a powerful cop story, with Triptii Dimri playing the female lead. Prabhas will reportedly appear in a wild and mass avatar in the flashback portions.
Produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit remains one of the most awaited films in Prabhas’ lineup. But after the recent revelations, the biggest challenge for Vanga is clear: he has to deliver something genuinely fresh and explosive to match the enormous expectations surrounding the film.
