Prabhas’ much-anticipated film “Salaar Part One: Ceasefire,” released on December 22 to huge openings.
Despite Shruti Haasan being the heroine, it’s Sriya Reddy, making a comeback after nearly a decade hiatus, who steals the spotlight as Radha Rama, sister to Varadharaja (Prithviraj Sukumaran). Her captivating performance has turned out to be one of the high points of the film.
Sriya Reddy, known for her role in Vishal’s “Pogaru,” has been a topic of discussion on social media since the release of “Salaar.” Recently, a similar euphoria happened with Tripti Damri who suddenly became popular after Animal’s release.
Fans were intrigued by Sriya’s powerful portrayal in Salaar and sought information about her real name and even searched for her photos. Sriya made her Telugu debut in “Appudappudu” and garnered attention for her role as an obsessive money lender in “Pogaru.”
Taking a break from acting after marrying film producer-actor Vikram Krishna Reddy (brother of Pandem Kodi fame Vishal) in 2008, Sriya returned to the screen in 2018 with “Sometimes” directed by Priyadarshan.
