Jailer AP and TS rights were quoted for 6 Crore. To minimize the risk in case of a flop, Suniel partnered with Suresh Babu and Dil Raju to release the movie in Telugu. There were no promotions for the film due to the unavailability of the team.

Jailer picked hype with the Kaavalaa song, trailer, and Rajinikanth’s speech at the Tamil audio launch.
It is now heading towards a massive blockbuster in Telugu. It has got a decent one-time watch talk and Bholaa Shankar’s disastrous result is helping further.
It was the first choice for the movie-goers right from yesterday itself. The Telugu buyers will be in profits with today’s collections and the movie will be on a rampage move till August 15th.
It is likely to add some more bucks in the second weekend as well.
Even by liberal estimates, we are looking at a 25 Crore Share finish. That means more than four times the investment.
If not for partners, Suniel would have raked a moolah but a big opportunity was lost.
