The second cabinet meeting of Telangana government became a venue for crucial decisions on the various poll promises made by TRS during the elections. The meeting took place for more than 6 hours and here is the details of the meeting:
1. 12% Reservations to Muslims: There are some technical issues before carrying out the promise. There are instances in the past where Supreme court did not allow such decisions. So a committee is appointed to study and ensure hassle free reservations as promised. Muslim welfare fund with 1000 Crores.
2. Relief to Martyr’s family: 10 Lakhs to the families of martyrs who laid their lives for Telangana cause. One government job if eligible candidate is in the family. All the cases of Telangana agitators to be cancelled.
3. For Employees: Special increment for employees on attaining separate statehood. Steps to increase salaries on par with central employees.
4. Land to Dalits: 3 acres of Land to dalits. 50000 help to marriage female dalits.
5. Education: Steps to make sure every Telangana student gets fees reimbursement. KG to PG free education will begin from next year.
6. On encroachments: Raids and recovery of encroached lands will be intensified. All the land allocations by previous governments will be brought under scanner.
7. Houses to the poor homeless: Houses to the poor in 120 yards in rural areas and flats to Urban poor.
