Music directors Thaman and Anirudh are among the biggest names in South Indian cinema today. Thaman has built a strong position in Telugu cinema with multiple major projects, while Anirudh continues dominating Tamil cinema with blockbuster albums and powerful background scores. Because of their popularity, even a small interaction between them quickly grabs attention.
That is exactly what happened after Thaman recently shared a social media post featuring Anirudh. The post, which roughly translated to “Nanba, shall we begin now?”, immediately created excitement among fans. Many people started guessing that the two composers could finally be working together on a major project.
The discussions quickly spread across social media. Some fans even expected a rare collaboration where both Thaman and Anirudh would jointly compose music for an upcoming film. Considering how successful both composers are individually, the idea naturally created huge excitement.
However, industry discussions currently suggest fans may be expecting too much. According to early reports, this may not be a full music composition collaboration. Instead, sources indicate that Thaman could be bringing Anirudh on board as a playback singer for one of his upcoming projects. Most probably, the project is Salman Khan and Nayanthara’s next film tentatively titled SVC63 directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. The film’s shoot is going on these days.
This would not be something completely new. Anirudh has previously sung songs composed by Thaman rather than working alongside him as a co-composer.
So, fans waiting for a full Thaman-Anirudh soundtrack may have to control expectations for now. But even if it turns out to be only one song collaboration, bringing together two of South Indian cinema’s biggest music names is enough to create excitement.
