The makers of Thangalaan, a project that marks the coming together of Chiyaan Vikram and Pa Ranjith have dropped the first glimpse video of the film today on the occasion of Vikram’s birthday.

The first glimpse video id loaded with earnest visuals and give an idea of the extreme lengths that Vikram went through to film this raw and rugged actioner.
The raw content and Vikram’s rugged presentation stand out in the video. But at first glance, we get an impression that the film is a genuine attempt but it doesn’t necessarily cater to our Telugu audience.

The dosage of extremely rugged and raw footage might not necessarily appeal to the larger section of the Telugu audience. These kind of films usually cater solely to the Tamil audiences as this falls under their spectrum but for the rest, it is no-no.
The Telugu audience are usually not so much receptive to such overtly aggressive and gore some content.

Right from the outset, Thangalaan looked to be a Tamil film despite the pan Indian branding. But the first glimpse has clearly instated that the film might not have the sensibilities to work in the wider markets, particularly in the Telugu states.
