Superstar Rajinikanth and director Pa Ranjith, known for their collaboration on films like Kabali and Kaala, share a strong professional and personal bond. Their movies, featuring Rajini in anti-establishment roles, turned out to be epic disappointments. Especially Kabali was one of the most hyped films which was ruined by Ranjith’s disastrous execution.
Rajini also has done many anti-establishment films but in real life, he maintains a very good relationship with the ruling government. His influential status led to his invitation to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration.
However, Ranjith, a vocal critic of the central government, expressed disappointment with Rajini’s stance on the Ayodhya Ram Temple. Rajini recently said that the inauguration of Ram Mandir was historical and the 500-year-old issue has been solved.
At the audio launch of his upcoming production, ‘Blue Star,’ Ranjith emphasized the need to counter regressive politics in India. He said we are living in an era where if we don’t light up camphor diyas in front of our homes then we will be treated as terrorists.
Ranjith’s remarks about Rajinikanth’s involvement in the Ayodhya event angered Rajini’s fans, who were already critical of him for ruining Rajini’s stardom with trash films like Kabali and Kaala. Now, they are upset about his criticism of Rajini’s views on the Ayodhya Ram Mandir matter.
